Hi, I’m a 36 year-old entrepreneur from the Great Northwest state of Washington striving to make the internet a better place for everyone involved in MLM. I consider myself the luckiest guy on the planet and am blessed to have a loving, gorgeous, and funny wife, as well a beautiful daughter. Everything I do on here I do for them. Thank you so much for putting up with my stubborn determination, even through all the failures.
I’ve never won tons of cash, don’t pretend to be a monstrous success, and I’m not worth millions of dollars. My desire in creating this blog was to bring the truth about MLM to both veterans and new people, as well as develop business relationships. My goal is to provide as much valuable content to the industry as I can so that the newest person can gain insights into starting off right without breaking their bank accounts. I’m also going to do my best to keep this blog as easy to duplicate as possible, regardless of how successful I become; I’m a true believer that in order to duplicate something it has to be possible at the lowest financial levels.
One of this issues I’ve noticed in my marketing efforts is the inability to duplicate what many of the gurus have done, since their sites and marketing tactics typically display their successes, which people starting out don’t have. I vow never to do that, and I hope if you’re an engaged reader you’ll let me know if I ever steer that way. As I learn more of the intricacies in internet marketing and combine them with MLM I hope to help countless others. My philosophy with this site and the readers that tune in is to be totally transparent and honest, and to help others realize they don’t need to achieve guru status to market and lead effectively.
I’d call this blog my roadmap to entrepreneurial freedom, so I want to thank you for deciding to take the journey with me; the more the merrier!
I am currently a work from home husband and father. Before moving into the consulting world working from home, I worked as a professional nuclear power plant instructor. My start in the nuclear power world began in the late 1990s with my enlistment in the United States Navy. Before the navy I was a young kid with no direction in life, angry at the world and frustrated with my choices. It was this frustration that forced me to consider the military; I assumed it would help me get away from the path I was on. With hard work and perseverance I was able to leave the service and eventually secure a six-figure income job with a great company. However, something you may or may not know from this story is that six-figures just doesn’t go very far. I know it may sound selfish if you’re reading this and struggling financially, but it’s not meant to be I swear. It’s just the truth, and math will prove it. And besides, as much as I enjoy the challenge in the nuclear industry, I had a burning desire to achieve far more.
My first experience with the network marketing world occurred with a company that’s been around for over 50 years. A cool guy I met at the coffee shop invited my wife and I to his apartment for a day spa. His wife had her own day spa business from which she had people over for skin facials. It was at this first spa that I discovered MLM. I asked a few questions, gave my new friend the green light, and he invited me to coffee to meet his coach the next day. I was told the guy was a raging success so I didn’t really know what to expect.
My soon-to-be mentor showed up in a full-blown suit, brimming with confidence. He sat down, drew some circles on a sheet of paper, told me how easy it was, and BAM, I was signed up. What I didn’t realize was the full impact he had on me at that moment. Initially I was fired-up (excited). From that day on however, it was struggle fest central; attending seminars, hotel meetings, setting up energy drink booths, handing out flyers, and anything else you can think of that would have been used to drum up business using guerrilla marketing tactics. As great as I thought the products were, it took a little over the year to finally realize there was a real online strategy to this business.
I spent months hunting on the web for a new mentor and platform from which I could learn some new skills that might actually translate into income. I learned from several pretty big online network marketing successes before following internet marketing professionals outside the MLM niche (something the best gurus do actually). I can honestly say my results with this blog have been due to doggedly pursuing knowledge through reading, taking action and by following other online internet marketing leaders (most of them not involved in MLM).
Currently I follow the greats like Pat Flynn, Yanik Silver, and Alex Becker. It didn’t take long to figure out how to get this blog to the front page of Google and ranked #1 for various keywords.
So Why the MLM Blogpost Website?
With this blog, I wanted to be as transparent as possible with everything I was going to do online. I planned on offering affiliate products through this platform, but only if I believed in them 100% (meaning used them). My businesses, and my strategies are all out there for you to see; so total transparency was a big part of starting this blog. If you’re already doing business online, I hope that my experiences help inspire you to reach your goals.
If you’re not doing business online but thinking about it, you can see what it’s like by reading posts here. My goal is to help arm network marketers with content that helps them make decisions on their own without having to pay someone hordes of money. As I learn more, my readers will learn with me. I’m not against paying for a product to learn something new, but I’m a true believer that most information offered online can be researched for free (paying just gets you there a lot faster).
And finally, please read this carefully:
I don’t consider myself an online marketing guru, and heaven forbid I’m ever labeled as such. I promise to never sell you hype or get rich quick schemes. The skills I’ve learned and continue to accumulate require nothing more than persistence and hard work.
Again, earning any type of income online takes a lot of hard work and doing the right things. This blog is going to be my way of paying the world back for the incredible things that have happened in my life. And lastly, my promise is my readers will not receive any hard selling from me on this blog. My emails (if you choose to opt in) are only going to be designed to point you in the right direction, and not trick you into clicking and landing on a sales page.
Best wishes in ALL your future business endeavors!
